At 10.30am on a marvellous Saturday morning, Louise, aged 9, accompanied by her parents, family, friends, members of the Cardiac Association as well as His Excellency The Governor, Sir David Steele commenced their trek up med steps.
Prior to the start of hike, Louise thanked everyone who in one way or another assisted her though out the process. She was inspired to collect money for the Gibraltar Cardiac Association, a charity very close to her heart, as a result of both her granddads suffering cardiac events, requiring intervention, throughout the Covid pandemic. This together with the fact that she could not visit them due to the restrictions in place at the time, impacted Louise.
The total amount collected has exceed her own target. She is a passionate and dedicated individual who has a lot of drive and determination to help those in need and to increase awareness.
After successfully completing the trek, she was met by her grandparents and other members of the Cardiac Association, who presented her with a certificate of achievement.
Louise reminds the general public to eat healthy, drink lots of water, to exercise and most importantly to go to regular check ups.
Thank you Louise, well done! You are a true inspiration.
